Dixie Caverns

IMG_20151228_154240643On this cold, rainy day we wanted to check out some local caves only 20 minutes away. The cavern was warmer inside than it was outside so we were happy to venture in.dcc IMG_20151228_160519000

We were lucky enough to see two bats hibernating. Their population is dwindling due to a deadly fungus. The formations and history were awesome. They have a rock and mineral gift shop as well as an antique shop to browse too. Just beware of the real cats hiding in the rows, they might suddenly move and make you jump 10 feet. 🙂

29!

Dinner at the Green Goat! Yumm!

IMG_20151211_222230850Lemon-berry cheesecake from the local bakery…

We bought it to go and the cashier asked if I needed a fork. The lady behind me started to laugh. I said I didn’t need a fork. The cashier says to us all that we would be surprised at how many people can’t wait until they get home to eat their dessert!

Me: Oh I’m not waiting until I get home, I just don’t need a fork! 😀

[proceeds to go to the car and pick up the slice, whole, and take a glorious bite. ]

I keep it classy. 😉
