Day Trip to Paradise Road

The whole family headed to the mountains for a yummy picnic and to let the dogs swim.

Penny won’t go in the water on her own to swim…because she doesn’t know how to swim. haha Robby tried giving her swimming lessons…but she would just sink without help…poor thing

Aspidoscelis tigris, The Whiptail lizard! I finally got a picture of one! These guys are so fast and are always on the move, they don’t tend to sit in one spot for long.

My First Motorcycle Ride

Robby took me on a ride up Gibraltar Rd at sunset last night. I was so scared at first! As we winded our way up the mountain, I began to feel queasy from all the turns. After a while, I asked him to pull over for a bit so I could have a break. And just 20 feet in front of us, stretched out in the middle of the road, was a huge alligator lizard! Just after I got him off the road, two cars drove right over where he had been laying. Thank goodness I got sick! 
All in all, it was a neat ride and the view was amazing. To spare you from some gross details…I just might need some medicine and less turns for my next ride 🙂

I came across this really cool website called meetup.com. It helps neighbors come together to learn something, do something, share something, meet new people, and just have fun. There are a ton of different groups-from people who want to hike, or play board games, walk their dogs together, do fitness, or cook, you can surely find something you would enjoy. You can search by location to see groups near you. How cool is that?!
