Pardon the dirty windows, but this was too cute not to share!
We got her to like her porch bed!
She will lay out here for hours watching squirrels.
I had heard awesome things about “Black dog Salvage” in town so Casey and I decided to check it out. They are an architectural salvage yard and warehouse. They have huge rooms filled with old windows, doors, columns, knobs, wood, trinkets, decor, and art. They even have a huge room where artists have their own section to sell up-cycled goods. SO NEAT. Kori-you would be in heaven!
Behind the BDS, there is a park by the river. It has a course for exercising and activities to do at each station.
We then wandered around in a new part of town, window shopping in the cutest stores. We stopped into this old hole in the wall for chili and grilled cheese sandwiches. What a fun day!
Floyd Fest is an annual music festival that takes place in the middle of the mountains.
We came to see Lord Huron, one of our favorite bands play on the main stage. We got there just in time to enjoy the pink sunset and get close to the stage.
The setting is magical. You are in the middle of a huge forest. You have the option to camp among the trees and stay multiple days. There are 9 music stages and the trees look amazing with the multi-colored lights shining on them. Food vendors and artist’s booths are set up everywhere. Tiki torches and fairy lights twinkle around the trapeze arena, people are walking around on stilts and juggling light up bowling pins, all while bubbles float through the crowds. Too neat!
The show was amazing, we already want to go back!
