We took homemade pumpkin oatmeal up to the top of Roanoke Mountain for a sunrise picnic.
Then we went to Explore Park and looked at the historic buildings.
We took a drive on the parkway and stopped at some overlooks.
Then we went antiquing!
We stopped for lunch and I scheduled Casey’s interviews.
We peeked inside Casey’s school!
We stopped at a cute fruit and veggie stand and explored the area.
Time for dinner and face masks!

Church Rock Trail
Strawberry Canyon
Today we hiked on a trail that took us to the Continental Divide! This peak separates the water that flows to the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. When we got to the top, there was a lookout tower that gave us a 4 mile view in all directions. We met fire fighter Brian inside who was keeping watch for fires in the distance. They usually get about 80-100 fires a year, but this year they have only had 29. He used to fight fires in CA for 11 years!
