Casey and I went out to dinner with our newly married friends Jake and Steffany. We headed to iGrill Korrean BBQ where you cook your own food at your table. It was a very fun night and I would recommend the restaurant if you want to spice up your average dinner out!

The Trigger Has Been Pulled!
Yes, Casey has hit the big SUBMIT button and applied to medical school. Over 30 schools in fact. All across the country. He has spent many, many hours perfecting his primary application and rewriting sentences over and over until they convey just the right meaning. I no longer have to look over and see him deep in thought or typing away on his personal statement, at least not for a little while. Once the secondary applications are sent to him to complete, it will all begin again. But now it is time for a well deserved break. We look forward to celebrating our 7 year anniversary in the coming weeks. I am so proud of you Casey for completing this first big step! ♥
Baby Birds!
I found these 2 baby birds at a job site. They must have fallen out of their nest because the horse ranchers set them out behind the horse barn. After watching them for several hours and seeing no mother bird paying any interest in them, I took them home so they wouldn’t become food for something else.
We got them to eat a bunch of worms once they were at our house. They seemed to double in size overnight! We ended up taking them to the Wildlife Care Network the next morning so they could have the best chance of survival. If you ever find an injured or abandoned wild animal in SB, consider taking them here. They help save over 4,000 animals each year! Read more about their organization HERE.

Upstaged at the Beach
Today we took Penny to the beach and she had lots of fun playing fetch (no one stole her ball this time) and meeting other pups. There were a lot of dogs bounding into the water after their own toys but Penny won’t dare go near the big waves. She much prefers to go lay in the 2 inch-deep slough water near the entrance thank you very much! Goob.
We were just about to leave when this cool guy shows up and starts catching his frisbee in the air like a mad dog! He could jump SO high! He was showing off for everyone around. Check him out:
