Lee Vining Trip Day 2

Casey and I started the day with a 22 mile bike ride up into the mountains. Our destination was beautiful Walker Lake, nestled among the aspen and pine trees.

How pretty is this view?!
Later that night we played Phase 10, watched the Giants win the World Series, ate steak and potatoes by the fire, and just when we were falling asleep in bed, we heard a thud right outside our window. We looked outside only to see . . .
A BEAR!
This cub was climbing the apple tree and shaking the branches to make the apples fall. Then he would climb down and have a feast!

Lee Vining Trip Day 1

The weather was great on our first day in Lee Vining-not too hot and not too cold. After a homemade french toast breakfast, we headed out with Casey’s grandparents in their old forest service truck and explored the wilderness.
